Welcome to the Waterloo Fit City Triathlon blogsite. Waterloo is a small, rural community located in south central Wisconsin, about 30 minutes northeast of Madison. 



The Waterloo Fit City Triathlon is a sprint distance triathlon for kids and adults alike. Adult race consists of a 500 yd. swim, 14.3 mile bike and 3.1 mile run.  All Ages Welcome!

Participants can look forward to a great race course, goodie bags, t-shirts, food/drink, door prizes, chip timing, music, and more!

*Adult race will begin first at 8 a.m. Kids race will begin immediately after, tentatively around 10 a.m. Please register kids by 9 a.m. so we may start lining them up in the pool according to wave and lane. Kids 8 and under will be swimming FIRST.

$90 Adult Relay

PACKET PICK-UP:
Early Bird: 6 pm to 7:30 pm, Aug. 10th
Race Day: 6 am to 9 am, Aug. 11th
Waterloo High School Pool Entrance


REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Registration forms may also be picked up and dropped off at the Karl Junginger Memorial Library, Waterloo, Wisconsin. Please drop off forms NO LATER than Friday, August 9th by 3 pm.

REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE (ONLINE):
Friday, August 9th, 2013 @ 11:59 p.m.Race day and late registration subject to $10.00 late fee for individual and relays.                                

Race Day Registration Subject to Availability! AVOID RACE DAY AND LATE FEES, REGISTER EARLY!                         

PARKING:
Please park in the Elementary School Parking Lot and Karl Junginger Memorial Library Parking Lot. There is also Street parking on Henry Street and Porter Street.


ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING in the High School Parking Lot or Anna Street. We cannot stress this enough. You may drop off but will not be able to park! 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Swim: Waterloo High School Pool - 25 yd.

*Waves will be determined by seed time in 500 yard swim, with slowest seeds swimming first. A detailed timeline will be emailed closer to the race. 

Bike and Run Route traverses through City of Waterloo neighborhoods and open countryside, ending with one lap around high school track. See maps on Home page.

GROUPS:
  • Ages 6 & U: 25 yd swim, 1 mile bike, ½ mile run
  • Ages 7-8: 50 yd swim, 1 mile bike, ½ mile run
  • Ages 9-10: 100 yd swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run 
  • Ages 11-12: 100 yd swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run
  • Ages 13-14: 200 yd swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run 
  • Ages 15-19: this age group can choose to do either the short course above or the long course below 
  • Ages 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70+: 500 yd swim, 14.3 mile bike, 3 mile run
  • Clydesdale/Athena – 200 lbs men, 145 women

RELAYS:
Adult: 500 yd. swim, 14.3 mile bike, 3 mile run
Kids: 200 yd. swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run


AWARDS:
  • Finishers medal: all 19&U participants 
  • Top 3 trophies for age groups 19 & Under by gender 
  • Top 3 medals for age groups 15 & Over by gender 
  • Top 3 Clydesdale/Athena (if in Clydesdale division can’t place as top 3 in regular also)
  • Top 3 overall Male/Female (can’t then also place in age group) 
  • Top 3 Relays get medals

  1. I am dong this triathlon for the Pickle! They are the best pickle ever!!!! I even got my friends to do this one.. When I did this last time,they had great door prizes. All the volunteers where friendly. But seriously the pickle and price are well worth the tri!!
